Our decentralized autopilot system is being debugged.
While our ESC v2 passes some refining process, we debug our autopilot system using tiny simulator devices. Each simulator device “thinks” it’s a big ESC and may control an engine. Thus it takes responsible decisions and shares those with the hive, wherein a collective decision is taken which engine should increase or decrease power.
ELAVIA’s ESC V2 is finished.
It has to pass several bench tests and some debugging but the current design is close to final We want to thank out partner, Würth Elektronik company, for providing us free components needed.
New protocopter flies!
From now on we can debug our full-fledged control system with a radar and machine vision.
What is a decentralized autopilot system?
It’s a hive, taking a collective decision.A hive doesn’t have a common center, it doesn’t have dependent systems.A hive cannot be destroyed while any single element is still alive. That kind of a hive lives inside of our vehicle.You can hear its buzz in flight 🙂

Compared to the previous one this one has better efficiency and lower mass, also it supports our decentralized autopilot system.

We participated in Startup Village 2019!
We showed a prototype of the flying vehicle, our engine and control hardware. Everyone could cool down from our ducted propeller airflow, it’s quite good as a fan!

ELAVIA is close to manufacturers and developers of helicopter and aircraft equipment, as well as gliders and UAVs. We have received many positive reviews and valuable feedback!

ELAVIA V5 protocopter got overloaded…
We need a radar now, a couple of lidars and three cameras.Previous prototype couldn’t make it to take off so we have to develop another prototype, bigger than previous ones. Again :)We decided to abandon 3D printed frame as it’s too fragile and not that repairable. Also it’s quite a pain to do the wiring so we’ll make the whole prototype of PCBs reinforced with carbon fiber. It’s going to be more expensive but it’ll have increased durability and it saves time after all.We want to thank our partner Würth Elektronik for providing us free samples needed.
