Autopilot system is working fine. Over 🙂
Second Drozd engine is ready!
The engine became more reliable, it’s hard time waiting to put it on the test bench! The new version has improved durability, vibrations and radial runout tolerance were decreased, it has increased resource. New modified set of sensors is integrated.
ELAVIA’s prototype has been 3D printed, assembled and flashed with a firmware!
It’s the final debugging of divergences, limits, mixer and so on is being made.
The power connectors installation
The main feature of Würth Elektronik’s REDCUBE PRESS-FIT power connectors is that those are not soldered but pressed into the PCB.Thus providing minimal electrical resistance in the joint. We’re trying to achieve the same results with improvised means 🙂
A new “Drozd-2” engine is being developed
The new “Drozd-2” engine will have all remarks and suggestions, which arose while testing the first version of the engine, taken into consideration.

It’s a long journey ahead, especially in terms of firmware development.
We decided to produce a prototype of 1:20 scale
to debug the automatic control system during a flight.
Prototype’s frame will be fully 3D printed. Engines, regulators, wiring and our autopilot system will be fitted into frame later.
Autopilot system debugging, performing a test of maximum engine failures AI can overcome.
There’s a “virus” implemented in the firmware, which turns off random engines during a flight while autopilot system has no knowledge about which engine is going to get down.
